Overview: GHM&D was asked again to help the PFL for the next leg of fixtures (Playoffs). These included a Logo animation, text treatments as well as a closer.
Having worked with the guys a few months before, we had a good idea of the style, treatment and high level of quality they expected. So knowing this, we wanted to create something new but familar that worked within their brand.
Creating fun, exciting and energetic motion graphics was something that was paramount to our goals, a challenge we relished.
Starting with text treatments, we designed a wide range of choices to pick from. Each kept within their goals but offered broad enough options for the client to pick through.
These style frames can be seen below.
We then moved on to designing the fullscreens. Like before we created a template design that was then treated with the variations in copy for the dates, locations and tag lines. These were created in Cinema 4D, and had a 2D animated text layer built in After Effects that was projected into the 3D Scene.
Finally we created an animated logo, this was an especially fun task, combinging mograph and dynamic camera moves we styled out versions for not just the play offs, but the following rounds as well.
