POKER REPLAY : FORGE YOUR LEGACY

Overview: GHM&D was fortunate to be approached by a former freelance Colleague in Martin O’Connor who has set up a wonderful company with his business partner called Emotive 3D.

The challenge was to create a 30 second animation for Replay Poker that would also work in 9x16 and 1x1 ratios. Martin had already created an approved storyboard and style. So a lot of the assets were in place and ready to be developed further.

Our job was to progress the boards into a working animatic that not only created a fun and entertaining piece but also made an easy to follow poker scenario.

Working within Cinema, GHM&D worked on getting a smooth animation together that built up the excitement as it progressed. The next challenge was to develop the look, enhance the lighting and textures as well as adding in additonal assets that complimented the scene and really brought the overall aesthetic to life. Using a narrow depth of field as well as adding intricate little animations the whole video worked out great.

We look very much forward to working with the guys at Emotive 3D again in the future. Its always a pleasure working on content such as this.
